FACIAL TRAUMA TREATMENT - Associated Oral & Implant Surgeons

We are the Largest Provider of Facial Trauma Treatment

Facial Trauma Treatment for Severe Injuries

Facial trauma consists of serious damage to the facial region, including areas of the gums, teeth, skull and jaw bone. This trauma is typically due to accidents or injuries involving falls, motor vehicles, or sports. Patients experiencing excessive bleeding, broken bones, severe pain, or swelling should immediately seek hospital or emergency room treatment. Associated Oral & Implant Surgeons is the largest provider of facial trauma treatment in the area with five oral surgeons on staff. Our doctors are on staff at multiple hospitals within the area and can perform surgeries for facial trauma at the hospital itself.

01

Facial Lacerations

Facial Lacerations

Deep cuts on or around the face that can involve nerves or blood vessels. These wounds are cleaned and sutured together to heal. Care is taken to ensure the best cosmetic results.

02

Intraoral Lacerations

Intraoral Lacerations

Intraoral lacerations include injuries that occur on the inside of the mouth or on the lips and tongue. These wounds are evaluated for airway compromises and may need to be sutured closed to heal.

03

Knocked Out Teeth

Knocked Out Teeth

If one or multiple teeth are knocked out, the jaw will need to be evaluated to ensure that no broken fragments are still embedded in the socket. Sometimes, a tooth that is knocked out can cause excessive bleeding or nerve damage—all of which we can evaluate and address.

04

Fractured Facial Bones

Fractured Facial Bones

Breaks and fractures of the cheek bones, eye sockets and nose need to be addressed right away. Oral surgeons are able to help repair these bones to ensure adequate healing and cosmetic appearance.

05

Fractured Jaws

Fractured Jaws

Both the upper and lower jaw can become fractured or broken and will require specialist attention to rebuild and properly align for normal use. When treated by an oral surgeon as soon as possible, the jaw will be able to return to full function and natural appearance.

06

Severe Infection

Severe Infection

If teeth or gums have become severely infected, or an abscess has formed, severe damage can occur to the bones, teeth and even systemic health. Treating these conditions right away can save further damage from occurring and prepare the mouth to be rebuilt.
